Another busy week in KS wrapping things up! Our newsletters will continue to be shorter as we finish up units and revisit what we've learned this school year. Here are some of the important things we did...
Our centers included talking about Little Red and her writing characteristics, finding and writing words ending in -ck, playing various games that work on some of the skills we have learned during Phonics, playing a Goldilocks STEM game, playing sneaky E BINGO, and much more!
During Phonics, we continued to work on sentence building and stretching out words with blends and recording each sound. We continued to work on long vowels, "y" as a vowel in words, and much more!
We read through various passages together during Shared Reading, finding high frequency words and blends/digraphs.
We continued counting and writing numbers to 100 during Math.
In Writing, we are revisiting narratives and making sure that our writing looks good enough to publish!
We learned about states and symbols and reading a map during Social Studies. We will continue to learn more about the United States in the coming weeks.
